Light on the
Atlantic Edge
Documentary and landscape photography from one of Europe’s last wild corners — the Mizen Peninsula, Sheep’s Head, and the Beara.
Mizen Head, West Cork
About
Where quiet
becomes powerful
I’m Johannes Eisele, a photographer based in West Cork. I came here drawn by the land’s refusal to be hurried — the slow drama of fog lifting off Roaringwater Bay, the patience a fisherman keeps mending nets in Schull harbour.
My work sits at the intersection of documentary and fine-art landscape: human presence in wild places, the quiet dignity of coastal life, and the extraordinary light that visits this peninsula every single day.
